The day will mark the spirit of revival, community volunteerism, courage, generosity and solidarity shown during the post-floods efforts to rebuild the state and send a message of resilience and normalcy about Kashmir to the rest of the world, Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar said.
Akhtar said this while co-chairing a meeting here along with Minister for Public Works Syed Altaf Bukhari to discuss the modalities for commemorating the 'Revival Day'.
"A committee has been constituted under the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir to identify all such brave-hearts and honour them suitably," they said.
The people have shown and are still showing the will and determination to overcome the challenges and build back the state post floods, Akhtar said.
In the meeting, extensive discussions were held with regard to venue, events and various other arrangements to be made for the day, a release said.
