21 teachers found absent during surprise checking in Punjab

At least 21 teachers were found absent, 47 late and 26 long time absentees during a surprise checking in 1,045 government schools in Punjab today.
Around 136 special teams of the Education Department conducted surprise checks in 1,045 schools across the state with the aim of ensuring punctuality and discipline, an official spokesman said here.
He said immediately after schools were opened, special teams visited 390 schools of Faridkot Circle, 354 schools of Nabha (Patiala) and 301 schools of Jalandhar Circle.
