2100 cough syrup bottles seized, two arrested

Phensedyl cough syrup bottles worth Rupees four lakh were seized from a truck at Churaibari in Karimganj district on the Assam-Tripura border.
On specific information, the police last night found the medicine bottles in cement-laden truck vound for Agartala.
2100 bottles of the cough syrup were found hidden among the cement bags.
Two persons identified as Ranjan Karmakar (30) and Pinku Paul (28) were arrested, the police said.
