3.52 cr compensation sought for UP garden owners

The district authorities have recommended a compensation of Rs 3.52 crore for the garden owners here who lost their produce due to unseasonal rain and hailstorm.
Additional District Magistrate Ram Kishan Sharma today told reporters that a demand note of Rs 3.52 crore relief for the 11,087 garden owners of the district has been sent to the state government.
A relief of Rs 2,000 per hectare has been sought for the owners who incurred loss of mango crops and other fruits due to unseasonal rains and hailstorms in the district.
