3,580 criminal cases registered in Karimnagar in 2016

As many as 3,580 offences were registered within the limits of Karimnagar police commissionerate in 2016.
Karimnagar police commissioner V B Kamalasan Reddy said at a press conference that out of these 3,580 offences, 3,263 were investigated successfully.
The property involved in the offences during this year was Rs 2.55 crore in total, whereas Rs 1.08 crore worth property was recovered from the accused.
As many as 222 persons were killed and 455 others were injured in 596 motor vehicle accidents this year.
Of the complaints received from 'Dial 100', 16,372 were addressed, he said.
All possible measures were being taken to maintain law and order, he said.
