"According to a survey there are 3,987 infiltrators in Odisha and all of them are Bangladeshis," Patnaik said while replying to a written question of BJP MLA Dilip Kumar Ray.
Stating that the state government had been in communication with the Centre for taking action against such infiltrators, Patnaik said that highest number of 1,649 Bangladeshi infiltrators have been staying in coastal Kendrapara district followed by 1,112 in Jagatsinghpur district.
Other districts where such infiltrators have been identified are Malkangiri (655), Bhadrak (313), Balasore(150), Nabarangpur (106) and Baragarh (2), chief minister said, adding, that only Indian citizens have been named in the voters list.
