3 arrested, 4 minors taken into custody for stealing

Three persons were arrested and their four children taken into custody on the charges of stealing from wedding ceremonies, and Rs 1.70 lakh in cash and one necklace were recovered from them, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, the accused were nabbed from Naya Ghaziabad Railway station and Rs 1.70 lakh cash and a necklace recovered from their possession, SHO of Kavi Nagar police station Ashok Sishodia said.
The three adult members of the gang have been identified as Sandeep, Narottam and Aaditya. During interrogation, leader of the group Sandeep confessed to stealing Rs 1.70 lakh in cash and a necklace from a wedding reception in a farmhouse here on November 28, the SHO said.

Sandeep also told police that they have trained their children in the age group of 8 to 12 years to steal valuables from wedding ceremonies, he said.
While Sandeep, Narottam and Aaditya have been arrested, the four minors have been sent to a juvenile home in Noida, Sishodia said.
