3-day World Hindu Congress 2014 begins tomorrow

The World Hindu Foundation is organising a three-day World Hindu Congress 2014 starting tomorrow on the theme envisioned on the Hindu principle of 'Sangachchhadhwam Samvadadhwam' (Step Together, Express Together).
Around 1,500 delegates from over 40 countries are expected to participate in the event which will provide a global platform for Hindu society to deliberate and formulate solutions to the myriad challenges faced by Hindus worldwide and to devise workable and tangible solutions that can be implemented.
Prominent speakers include the Dalai Lama, Swami Dayananda Saraswati, RSS chief Mohanrao Bhagwat, and Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani and Nirmala Sitharaman, besides Ashni Singh, Minister of Finance, Republic of Guyana, eminent scientists G Madhavan Nair, Vijay Bhatkar, leading educationists S B Majumdar, G Visvanthan, Kapil Kapoor, filmmakers Priyadarshan and Major Ravi, popular film actress from south Sukanya Ramesh.
The Congress aims to take the movement for Hindu solidarity to the next level and this task needs to be undertaken with a single minded focus of rebuilding the spiritual and material heritage of Hindus, a statement by the organisers said.
The conference delegates include people of accomplishment and achievement, committed to working for Hindu rise and resurgence, and include academicians, scientists, educationists, founder of universities, managing trustees, chancellors, vice-chancellors, prominent industrialists, businessmen from diverse industries and business, bankers, economists, business association leaders, parliamentarians, legislators, youth leaders, leading journalists, editors and promoters of media and leaders of Hindu organisations.
The conference will see discussions on several subjects including World Hindu Economic Forum on the theme of Thriving Economy, Prospering Society; Hindu Educational Conference on the theme of Creating and Networking Educational Resources for Civilisational Re-emergence.
Besides, there will be a Hindu Youth Conference on the theme Together Towards Tomorrow, a Hindu Media Conference on the theme Truth is Supreme and a Hindu Women Conference on 'Increasing the Role of Women in Hindu Resurgence'.
