3 held for carrying cough syrup illegally
Three persons were arrested from the North East Express at Rangia station in Kamrup (Rural) district for allegedly carrying 52 bottles of cough syrup illegally, police said.
A special team seized the bottles during routine checking.
It is suspected that they were carrying the cough syrup to use them as intoxicants, police said.
The arrested men hailed from Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
