Three people were killed and two others injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary mini-truck in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district on Tuesday, police said.
Two students were among the deceased, they said.
Around six students who studied in a madrasa in Lucknow were travelling in the car. They had left for their homes in Mau district on Monday night, the police said.
Superintendent of Police Trivedi Singh told reporters, "The accident took place in Jameendashav village under Atraulia police station when the driver of the ill-fated car dozed off. As a result, he lost control over the car and rammed it into a stationary mini-truck."
