3 killed as 2 trucks collide

Three persons were killed and as many injured when their pick-up truck carrying newspapers collided head on with another truck in upper Assam's Golaghat district early today, police said.
The accident occurred at Sabjuri under Bokakhat police station when the pick-up truck was travelling from Guwahati to Jorhat.
Three persons were killed on the spot while the injured were first taken to a hospital in Bokakhat from where they were referred to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital, police said.
The vehicle was carrying Guwahati edition of a Kolkata based English newspaper for distribution in Jorhat.
