3 medical stores booked for selling illegal MTP medicines

Three medical stores were booked for illegally selling medicines for MTP (Medical Termination of Pregnancy), police said today.
In order to check the sale of MTP medicines, Dr. Veena Sharma, Deputy Civil Surgeon Faridabad had constituted a team which was then deputed to check medical stores in the area of NIT 5.
Three medical stores- Nagpal Medical Hall, Sanjeevni Medicos and Sukhmani Medicos were found guilty.
On the basis of complaint filed by Sharma, a case was registered against all the three medical stores at Police Station NIT Faridabad under section 27A(2) of Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and MTP Act rules 2003 yesterday.

Further action would be taken by the civil surgeon only, said the SHO NIT Faridabad Inspector Sushila Devi.
