3 students killed in bike-lorry collision in Coimbatore

Three college students were killed, when the motorcycle they were travelling in collided with a lorry in Pollachi near here today, police said.
The incident occurred when the students, identified as Kalaiselvan, Karthi and Suresh, belonging to two differect colleges in the town, were proceeding to their friend's house on a two-wheeler after celebrating Pongal festival in their respective institutions, they said.
As the bike approached Nallur on Pollachi-Palakka road, it dashed against a lorry coming in the opposite direction, resulting in the death of the trio, police said adding a case has been registered in this connection.
