The incident took place yesterday evening when the 16-year-old girl was returning home after watching Ram Leela, along with her mother.
According to a complaint lodged by the girl's mother, the youths pulled her into a Maruti Swift car and sped away. The accused tried to rape her in the moving car and threatened her to kill if she did not follow their instructions.
However, some locals chased the car and caught one of the kidnappers while the other two managed to escape.
Police have started investigation into the case, said ASI Savita.
