'30L Rupay Kisan Credit Cards issued to farmers in T'gana, AP'

Union Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya today said over 30 lakh Rupay Kisan Credit Cards have been issued to farmers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
"Issuing Kisan Credit cards to farmers is vital for achieving financial inclusion. Around 16.5 lakhs Rupay Kisan Credit cards in Telangana and 14 lakh Rupay KCCs were issued in Andhra Pradesh," the Minister said.
Dattatreya today held a review meeting with the officials of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
He said Nabard is extending financial assistance to the schemes being implemented by the state and central governments in a big way and rural people of SC, ST, OBC communities and women self -help groups are getting benefited by these schemes.

Dattatraya informed that Nabard provided Rs 3,680 crore to 'Mission Bhagiratha' and Rs 4,000 crore to the 'Mission Kakatiya', at the reduced interest rates.
