During the same period last year, 31.39 lakh quintals of sugarcane was crushed by cooperative sugar mills, producing 2.07 lakh quintals of sugar.
Yadav said cooperative sugar mill Shahabad has so far crushed a maximum of 8.11 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced 69,500 quintals of sugar, followed by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak which has crushed 5.21 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 32,755 quintals of sugar.
Similarly, Sonipat sugar mill crushed 2.40 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 15,200 quintals of sugar.
Gohana sugar mill crushed 2.37 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 13,750 quintals of sugar.
Kaithal mill has crushed 1.67 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 9,600 quintals of sugar.
Sugar mills in Jind crushed 1.22 lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced 7,350 quintals of sugar.
