The municipal commissioner of the NDMC had yesterday ordered an extensive survey of all old buildings in all its six zones to identify those which are dangerous.
The survey began yesterday from the Karol Bagh Zone and a total of 2,339 properties under it were surveyed by eight different teams.
Out of the those 2,339 properties, "ongoing unauthorised construction" was observed in 33 properties, the NDMC said in a statement today.
Stop-work notices were issued to the violators on the spot, it said.
On Saturday, the 50-year-old dilapidated four-storeyed building had collapased in Inderlok's Tulsi Nagar area under the Karol Bagh Zone of the corporation.
Taking stern action against unauthorised constructions, NDMC also demolished illegally-developed portions in 17 properties in Karol Bagh and Sadar Pahar Ganj Zones, it said.
The corporation would continue its drive to curb illegal construction.
Meanwhile, Congress councillor and Leader of the Opposition in the NDMC House, Mukesh Goel, area councillor (Ward No 74- Inderlok Colony), Prerna Singh along with family members of the victims of Inderlok building collapse incident today met the NDMC's municipal commissioner Praveen Gupta and demanded a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the deceased and Rs 2 lakh for the injured.
