The accused, who are the members of different gangs, took lakhs of rupees from the candidates and provided them fake papers through Whatsapp and also circulated printed papers, police claimed.
Twelve each were arrested from Bharatpur and Jhunjhunu, 8 in Jodhpur, 5 in Nagaur and one in Dausa under an operation by district police and SOG, Additional DGP (SOG and ATS) Alok Tripathi, who is monitoring the case, said.
"No question which they provided to the candidates matches with the original paper of REET, therefore, it was not leaked," Tripathi said.
