Four persons were arrested for allegedly murdering two sisters in the Basrehar area here, the police said today.
Vinit alias Jitu and his friends Ativeer, Anand and Ranjeet were arrested yesterday, Senior Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar said.
During interrogation Vinit told the police that he shot dead the sisters when the elder sister (19) declined to meet him when he asked her to do so on April 16.
Both the sisters -- the younger aged 14 -- were missing since the night of April 16 when they had gone to relieve themselves in a field.
Their dead bodies were recovered yesterday.
The incident was a fall out of a one-sided love affair, Kumar said.
