4 Assam Rifles jawans injured in ambush

Four Assam Rifles personnel were injured in an ambush by suspected NDFB(S) insurgents this evening, police said.
An Assam Rifles team was in a routine patrol near Bombay Centre area under Mazbat police station when the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Songbijit) faction militants attacked, police sources said.
Four personnel injured in the ambush were taken to a hospital, the sources said, adding it was not immediately known whether any NDFB(S) militant was also injured.
Police and para military forces have launched a search operation to find out the insurgents.
