Rajkumar Sharma, the employee, was waylaid by three bike- borne men on November 17 near Lal Quarter market in Krishna Nagar area.
The men looted Rs six lakh from Sharma and shot at him. Sharma succumbed to injuries in a hospital a few days later. "A case of murder and robbery was registered at Krishna Nagar police station," said Bhairon Singh Gurjar, DCP of East Delhi police.
During its probe, police analysed the CCTV camera footage of the area where the crime took place. A labourer, Shavej, who worked near the crime spot was picked up for questioning.
Naushad spilled the beans providing all the information about absconding accused including Vinod who shot at Sharma and the other Nasir, the officer said.
The duo were arrested from a hotel in Haridwar on November 26.
Rs 1.9 lakh of the looted cash, a car bought from the looted money and a country-made pistol used in the crime was recovered from the arrested accused, he added.
