4 killed in ambulance-dumper collision

Four persons including a newborn baby were killed and two others injured today after an ambulance and a dumper collided head-on in Birbhum district, the police said.
The accident took place at Natungram village under the jurisdiction of Nanoor police station when the ambulance collided head-on with the dumper that was coming from the opposite direction.
A family along with a newborn baby was travelling from Burdwan to Murarai in Bibhum distrit in an ambulance, a police officer said.
All the six persons travelling in the ambulance were taken to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital in critical condition where doctors declared four of them brought dead.
