4 of family consume poison; one dies, three struggle for life

Four members of a family allegedly consumed some poisonous substance, leading to the death of one while three others were struggling for life at a hospital, police said here today.
Shiv Karan, the manager at a local "Dharamshala" (guest house), his wife Kaushlaya, and two sons - Prakash and Vikas - allegedly consumed some poisonous substance last night at their living room in the facility.
When a sweeper went to Shiv's quarters, he heard cries of a child coming from the room which was bolted from inside. The sweeper informed the Dharamshala management and the door was broke open.
All of them were taken to hospital where Shiv Karan was declared brought dead. The rest of family members were undergoing treatment.

Shiv Karan of Luhara village near Churu in Rajasthan had joined the job three months ago, police said, adding that an investigation was on into the matter.
