A case of fraud was registered against the then Sadar tehsildar Ram Pyare and revenue officers - lekhpal Babban Singh, Krishna Pratap Singh and Kitabunissan, police said.
The case has been lodged by inspector of Vigilance department, Allahabad, Ram Subhag Verma.
Accused Kitabunissan had 'fraudulently' got a caste certificate of backward caste issued from Sadar tehsil on September 7, 2010. The district magistrate had ordered an inquiry into it after receiving complaints, police said.
The vigilance department in its inquiry found that Kitabunissan belonged to an upper caste who had connived with the revenue department employees to get a fake certificate issued in her name of backward caste, police added.
