4-year old girl was found from a house in New Town area of North 24 Parganas district today.
DCDD Bidhannagar police Commissionerate Kankar Prasad Barui said the girl was missing since the morning of October 12, the Mahalaya day.
The body, with cloth stuffed in mouth, was recovered from a roof top store room of her neighbour's house, where scrap materials are kept, during search operation by police and her parents, he said.
Members of the neighbouring household were being questioned to ascertain the circumstances behind the incident, he said denying reports that four persons had been detained in this connection.
