400 delegates to attend 2nd assembly of International Solar Alliance on Thursday

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on Wednesday said that as many as 400 delegates from across the globe are expected to attend the second Assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) here on Thursday.
The MNRE is hosting the Assembly of ISA.
"The Assembly would meet on October 31, 2019," a statement by MNRE said.
The Assembly is the supreme decision-making body of the ISA and gives directions on various administrative, financial and programme-related issues.
Power and New & Renewable Energy Minister R K Singh is president of the ISA Assembly and Brune Poirson, Minister of State for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, France, is the co-president of the Assembly.
As on date, 81 out of the 121 prospective member countries have signed the Framework Agreement of the ISA. Of these, 58 countries have ratified the same.
The ministry said, "The Assembly will be attended by the ministers and delegates from member states, observer states, ISA partners, and other invitees. Over 400 delegates are expected to participate in the Assembly."
