As per the plan, the teachers would be trained at 380 centers simultaneously in four batches, with the first batch training programme commencing on April 8.
New revised ICT textbooks are being introduced in Classes 5 to 7 from the next academic year onwards.
The proposed training would also include a practical session for the teachers to inculcate the new textbooks effectively, a press release said.
The training programme also has sessions to prepare multimedia presentations for classroom transactions for teachers, content development processes involving digital content collection, image processing, audio recording and video editing.
"We are starting the district level training for over 800 Resource Persons (RP) from tomorrow. These RPs will in turn train the Upper Primary teachers," K Anvar Sadath, Executive Director of IT@School Project, said.
The teacher's training, which is an eight day programme overall, would have four days exclusively for content training.
Since IT@School has already provided ICT training for 32,182 Lower Primary teachers, no additional ICT training is planned for them during the vacation period.
