45 taken ill after consuming poisonous food

Atleast 45 persons, including several children, were taken ill after consuming poisonous food served after a religious function in West Bengal's Midnapore (West) district today.
Official sources said the incident happened at Sakhajora where a religious function was held last night.
Today, food which was being left over were served to the persons after which they fell ill.
Six seriously ill persons, including five children, were admitted to the Midnapore college hospital for treatment.
The others were discharged after treatment at the Sakhajora hospital.
The matter is being investigated by district officials.
