The incident took place inside a mall in west Delhi's Rajouri Garden yesterday.
Sanjeev alias Sajjan (25) had come to a club, along with nine friends, to celebrate his birthday, they said, adding that while dancing, his elbow accidentally hit one Imran. A brawl ensued between the duo and Imran called his brother Salim, who came along with other four persons, including another brother, police said.
They thrashed Sanjeev and stabbed him thrice with a knife, they said, adding that Sanjeev's friends did not come to his rescue.
CCTV footages were scanned and the accused were identified as the brothers trio of Imran, Salim and Aalim and Abid and Mohd Samar Khan and a juvenile, all residents of Raghubir Nagar, they said.
Police are probing how the accused managed to bring the knife inside the mall and not detected at the security checkposts.
