Assistant Sub-inspector Brahm Prakash complained that on receiving information of an accident at 11 PM on Friday, he, along with constable Sarvjeet and home guard Gaurav, reached the spot and found that no such incident had occurred.
Instead, on the spot, five men were fighting with a truck driver, Anar Singh, claiming that his vehicle hit their bikes, and when the police team tried to intervene, the accused beat up the three policemen, they said.
The accused also tore uniforms of Sarvjeet and Gaurav and tried to even film the happenings, they said.
Investigating Officer H C Harish said that all the five accused - Jitendra, Ram, Bijendra, Ram Singh and Yadram - were arrested from the spot, they said.
The accused were produced in a court yesterday from where they were sent to Neemka prison in Faridabad, they said.
