5 killed, 2 hurt in car-bus collision

Five members of a family, including three women and a girl child, were today killed when their car collided head-on with an RTC bus in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district, police said.
Two bus passengers were also injured in the mishap.
The accident occurred near Mettakuravapalli village under Baireddypalle police station limits in Chittoor at around 8 AM when the car collided with the state-run RTC bus coming from the opposite direction.
The five family members travelling in the car -- a man, who was driving, three women and a one-and-a-half-year-old girl -- died on the spot, sub-inspector Krishna Mohan said.

The two injured bus passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital, the SI said.
A case has been registered and further probe is on, police added.
