5 killed as bus touches high-voltage wire

Five persons, including a 12-year-old boy, were today electrocuted to death when the private bus carrying them came in contact with a high tension wire in Kakor town.
SSP Anant Dev Tiwari said the incident took place when the bus driver, in an attempt to take a short cut, drove the bus through a lane of Kakor.
The victim were on their way back to Rabupura town of Gautam Budh Nagar district after attending a funeral service in Kakor.
The bus came in contact with a 11 KV line, said the SSP.
Seven passengers suffered severe burn injuries and were admitted to the district hospital here.
