5 liquor smugglers held, 99 boxes of illegal alcohol seized

Five liquor smugglers were arrested today from different places in the district and 99 cartons of illegal alcohol recovered form their possession, police said.
In the first incident, Khoda police arrested one Bharat from Itwar under Bihar police station. Two boxes of Haryana made liquor were recovered from his possession, they said.
Besides this, they nabbed one Dalbir from Tyagi market and recovered two cartons of illegal liquor from him, police said.
They also nabbed one Arun, who was in possession of one box of alcohol, near Khoda buildings.
Similarly, Vijaynagar police recovered 85 boxes of alcohol from a mini truck near Water Board trisection. But the accused managed to escape from the spot, police said.

In another incident, Muradnagar police nabbed Niranjan and Tarun, both residents of Gurgaon, near Ordinance factory. The duo was ferrying nine boxes of illegal liquor in a Tata Safari when the arrest was made.
