People living in the area complained of stomach ailments since last night after which around 50 of them were admitted to Beliaghata ID Hospital.
Rajarhat Gopalpur Municipality chairman Tapas Chatterjee said they are organising a health camp to tackle the problem which happened due to contamination in drinking water.
In the meantime, Kolkata Municipal Corporation removed Member of Mayor-In-Council (environment and welfare services department) Sanchita Mandal.
She is among those who had participated in the blood donation camp organised last week by rebel party MP Somen Mitra and his wife Sikha.
