"After a random survey in Rajasansi area of Laddey village, it found was found that in a population of 1,200 atleast 178 votes were fake. Similarly, 163 fake voters were found in Kotla, Kohali, Gumtala areas of Ajnala," claimed Yogendra Yadav, AAP leader and party candidate from Gurgaon LS constituency.
"Going by the average, we have found that nearly 57,000 votes were fake in Amritsar constituency, wherein either a voter with same name and photograph was entered in the voter list twice or thrice in the same booth," he said while addressing a press conference along with party's candidate from Amritsar Dr Daljit Singh today.
Yadav said that the breeze was blowing for AAP in the city and like Delhi where prior to the assembly elections AAP voters were 'silent', he was experiencing the same thing.
"As youth in large numbers have turned towards AAP for a third alternative to traditional political parties, staunch Akali households were also seeing a new trend of rebellion amongst its youth who wants to support AAP," he claimed.
Speaking about drugs menace in the state, he alleged that the entire state was in the grip of drugs and hinted at "narco money" being used in the elections.
Anticipating booth capturing and rigging, Yadav appealed to Returning Officer and Election Commission to keep flying squads ready as they did in Delhi for this high profile election.
He also appealed to install CCTV cameras at booths for live coverage.
