58 excise & taxation officials found absent in Patiala

As many as 58 officials of Punjab Excise and Taxation department were found absent in Patiala office during a surprise check by state vigilance bureau today.
"The Vigilance Department conducted a surprise checking at the head office of Excise and Taxation Commissioner, Patiala, and found 58 officials absent from the office," an official spokesperson said.
The check was conducted to improve punctuality in the state government offices.
