The fifth edition of the INK Conference will be held in Mumbai from October 31-November 2, bringing together names like Whatsapp VP Neeraj Arora, Google India's Rajan Anandan and Snapdeal co-founder Kunal Bahl.
Designed on the lines of the TED Talks series, the three- day event will host speakers like GOQii founder Vishal Gondal, OLA Cabs co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal, percussionist Bickram Ghosh, actor Jaaved Jaaferi and quantum physicist Shohini Ghose among others.
"INK is an annual conference of thinkers and doers from diverse walks of life. We bring visionaries from across the world -- CEOs, entrepreneurs, artists, technologists and scientists. They gather under one roof for a cross-pollination of ideas and chance encounters for the next big breakthrough," INK Talks Founder, Curator and Host Lakshmi Pratury told PTI.
TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design converged, and today covers almost all topics - from science to business to global issues - in more than 100 languages.
The INK Conference follows on from the one-2009 TEDIndia Conference. Inspired by the TED format, INK aims to offer individuals a platform to voice their ideas and exchange them with the world.
It also has a INK Fellows Program that aims to identify minds that are redefining their field of work, and the world around them.
"Every year, we choose a group of people who are out of the box thinkers in their fields of work. We work with them of their talks, provide them the support necessary to leverage their impact," she said.
