The advocate and others were booked last night on charges under IPC related to cheating, forgery and using as genuine a forged document, among others, police said today.
No arrest has been made so far, they said.
Giving details of the case, police said two persons were arrested for cheating and were in jail for about one month.
For release of the duo on bail, the six accused persons fabricated papers of guarantors and made a man pose as a policeman and submit reports to the court. They eventually got them released on bail, a policeman, Vijay Sanap of Sri Nagar police station, stated.
