6 drown in river Ganga

Six persons drowned in river Ganga while taking holy dip on the occasion of a religious festival in the city today, police said.
Their bodies had been fished out from the river, SP City Man Singh Chauhan said.
All the six drowned in separate incidents while taking holy bath in the river on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, he said.
The dead were Devendra, Vasu, both aged 17, Surajpal (22), Saver (24) and Soren Singh (38), the SP said.
The sixth body was yet to be identified, he said.
