Madhumita Roy, additional district judge, third court, Krishnagar, pronounced the punishment to the six accused and released five others for lack of evidence.
Anil Paswan was killed with sharp weapon at Gachha in Nadia district on August 18, 2013 and his body was found in a field by the police.
Following investigation, police submitted chargesheets against 11 people in the killing.
The convicted were identified as Netai Das, Mithun Chakraborty, Biltu Acharjee alias Anupam, Shankar Sahani, Kaushik Saha and Raju Kar.
