The incident occurred late last night when the victims were on their way to attend a funeral and their jeep collided with the truck near Jauharganj here, they said.
Krishnakant Pandey, Baleshwar Pandey, Sishu Pandey, Navneet Pandey, Baleshwar Yadav and Hitendra Yadav were killed in the mishap while the four injured have been admitted to a private hospital here, they said, adding their condition is stated to be serious.
The truck driver absconded after the incident, they said.
