The boy, a class 1 student at Ryan International school in Vasant Kunj, was found unconscious. The school authorities took him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
It was the hospital which informed the police, following which several police teams and government department officers rushed to the spot, said a police official.

During their interrogation, the accused told police that
they were playing cricket in the park and not consuming alcohol when the alleged scuffle occurred.
The police are taking down statements of locals who had rushed to the spot after the fight. Investigation is underway, the official added.
