A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a ten-year-old boy in Inchauli area in the district, police said today.
According to police, the incident is alleged to have taken place on Friday night when the minor girl, daughter of a rickshaw puller, entered the neighbouring house to get some water.
She was then called by the minor boy in a room and raped. After hearing her cries for help, the girl's family members arrived at the scene and found her bleeding, they said.
The victim was sent for a medical test and a case has been registered against the accused on the basis of a complaint by the girl's family.
Efforts are on to take the boy in custody, police said.
