63-year-old dies enroute to Vaishnodevi shrine in J&K

An 63-year-old pilgrim, on his way to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, died today after suddenly falling unconscious, police said.

Jai Krishen, from Uttar Pradesh, suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed at the pony stand in the Bhawan area, an official said, adding that he was travelling with his family.

He was immediately rushed to a dispensary at Bhawan, where doctors declared him "brought dead", he said.
