63-yr-old gets 10 yrs in jail for raping minor

A 63-year-old man was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years by a local court for raping a minor.
Additional Sessions Judge Gurjant Singh pronounced the verdict yesterday holding Jagan Nath guilty of raping the 13-year-old girl.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Nath.
The case was registered on March 21, 2013. Police said that Nath dragged the victim to a cattle house here before raping her. After the girl raised an alarm, her father and some other villagers caught him and handed him over to the police.
