A 63-year-old man was strangled to death allegedly by his younger brother in a Ganjam district village today.
The incident took polace after a heated exchange between the two brothers at Padmapur village, a police official said.
During the argument accused Udaya Mallick allegedly beat up and throttled his elder brother Natha Mallick, said inspector in-charge of Patapur police station Ramesh Chandra Pradhan.
The dead man was rushed to the nearest community health center where doctors declared him brought dead, the IIC said adding accused Udaya Mallick has been detained.
A case of murder has been registered and investigation is on, the police said.
