66 lakh MT wheat procured by govt agencies in Haryana

About 65.65 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of wheat have so far been procured by government agencies in Haryana, an official said today.
Out of this, 58.51 lakh MT, or 89 per cent of the total procured wheat, have already been lifted.
HAFED, Haryana Warehousing Corporation and Haryana Agro Industries Corporation have, on average, lifted the maximum quantity of wheat from the mandis that is 90 per cent each., the spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said here.
Food and Supplies Department and Food Corporation of India together have lifted 87 per cent of the procured wheat.
He said that HAFED has procured more than 24.28 lakh MT of wheat and out of it, lifted more than 21.93 lakh MT of wheat.
Similarly, Haryana Warehousing Corporation has procured more than 11.02 lakh MT of wheat and out of it lifted more than 9.94 lakh MT of wheat.
Haryana Agro Industries Corporation has procured more than 5.90 lakh MT of wheat and out of it lifted 5.29 lakh MT of wheat, he added.
He said that Food Corporation of India has so far procured more than 7.11 lakh MT of wheat and out of it lifted 6.19 lakh MT, and the Food and Supplies Department has also procured 17.31 lakh MT of wheat and out of it lifted 15.15 lakh MT.
