7 injured as villagers attack cops, construction agency staff

Seven persons, including policemen, were injured today as local residents attacked employees of a construction agency and a police team that had gone to take possession of land in Bhuda village here.
The incident occurred this afternoon when the agency staff along with a police team went to take possession of the land for construction of national highway in Bhojipura area, police said.
Six policemen and a JCB operator were injured in the incident, according to police.
District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash, later, reached the spot along with PAC and RAF and controlled the situation.
A case of obstructing government work and attempt to murder has been registered at Bhojipura police station and five persons arrested in this connection, the DM said.
