The fire broke out last night at about 11.30 PM at a building's electric cable well in the city of Wuhan, according to the government.
Those injured are not in a critical condition, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The police, firefighters and safety regulators are investigating the cause of the fire, according to Wuhan government.
