7 killed in road accident in Nepal

Seven persons including a girl were killed today when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into a gorge in Nepal, police said.

The incident occurred in Solukhumbu district, about 130 kms from here.

Six persons were killed on the spot while the seven-year-old girl died during treatment, the police said.

The vehicle, en route to Pattale Hatbazar from Necha Salyan, veered off the road and fell some 300 metres, the police said, adding that the cause of the incident was not immediately known.
